In today's challenging economy, it's good to have the broadest view possible in a job search. For example, a neighbor of mine loves teaching and wanted to stay in this domain…she found a job teaching English classes at a company with many non-native English speakers…meanwhile, she's working on getting an ESL teaching certificate. She found this job when she cast a wider net for teaching prospects. A friend of mine wanted a job in the design industry and was having a hard time. I wanted to help her and did some research, considering a broader view of the design industry, including positions such as sales representatives. I came across Empire Today Careers and told her about it. She's interviewing and is very excited about it. Her parents had used Empire Today a few years ago and had a good experience, so she's happy with the prospect, and it's still within her domain, just a different aspect than where she was looking. So for anyone who's looking for employment, here's to "designing" a broader job search within a domain of interest!
